Declassified a new hatchback Seat

Hardcore Seat Leon Cupra R revealed before the Frankfurt debut.

Seat revealed the third generation Leon Cupra R, ahead of its public debut at the Frankfurt motor show next week.

Described as “the most powerful road car” in the brand’s history, it will be available in limited edition with a 310-Yu “horses” and a manual transmission and 300-HP version with automatic transmission DSG. Both have six speeds and transmit torque to the front wheels.

Although the difference in power between this version and the latest Leon Cupra is not impressive, the automaker claims, “R” got a few extra features, including a modified front camber, adaptive suspension controller Dynamic Chassis Control, Brembo brakes and a new exhaust system.

Exterior hot version added detail of a carbon fibre front and rear spoilers, side skirts and rear diffuser, copper accents on the rims and rear view mirrors and more aggressive design of the air intakes. Buyers will be offered a choice of three exterior colors: Midnight Black, Pyrenees Grey and Matte Grey.

Images of the interior are missing, but the company says, the upholstery of the steering wheel cover and shift lever are made of leather, and the decoration of the interior used parts from copper and carbon fibre. Inside, there are bucket seats and a brand new instrument cluster.

On the dynamic characteristics of the automaker concealed, but given the parameters of the model Cupra, I assume the acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h will take about 5.6 seconds and a top speed limit of 250 km/h.

First deliveries of the Cupra R promises to start by the end of the year. On the application of Seat, will be released only 799 copies, which hints at the quest of the automaker to appeal to fans who are willing to pay much more than just a hot version.
