Debunked five of the most popular myths about the soup

Nutritionists told the truth about the soups and how they affect the human body.

Many since childhood, parents were told that soup is the most important and healthy dish in diet. According to grandmothers, soup to eat at least once a day to be healthy and live a full life, but what exactly is the use of soups neither the grandmother will not tell you because you don’t really know what healing is, in the “first” dish.

Nutritionists have collected all the information about the soup together and noted which statements are false:

Myth # 1

Soup can be stored in refrigerator a week or even more. In any case, doctors do not recommend to do so. First, the broth – a great environment for bacteria. Second, the warming is the loss of vitamins and minerals. Third, the longer the retention period, the more likely it is that the soup will lose its nutritional value.

Myth # 2

Soups always appear as the first dishes on the table. Yes, it was opened many decades ago. But today to eat a portion of soup, and even in meat broth, and then to descend to “second” dish – that’s a lot of calories. Nutritionists say that one of soup for meal would be sufficient. Only those who are overly physically active at work or in sports every day, experts are allowed to eat as before first, second, fruit compote and brioche, because they need strength and energy.

Myth # 3

In the soup instead of meat, you can add a bouillon cube. No self-respecting hostess would not buy bouillon cubes for making soup, because they are saturated with salt, flavor enhancers, dyes and other additives that negatively affect the digestive organs.

Myth # 4

For soups, you can lose weight. Not at all, and it is understandable that the rich soup on the oily broth with potatoes and pasta or dumplings certainly can’t fall under the category of dietary products. Well, if all day is cabbage soups without salt or bread, then it is really possible to noticeably lose weight.

Myth # 5

Soups should be present in the diet daily. Actually this is not necessary. Nutritionists do not believe that soup is obligatory to eat the dish, so you can eat at least every other day, at least once a week. The key issue is that the diet was balanced and contained all the necessary substances, vitamins, minerals, amino acids, antioxidants and so on.

Of course, soup is a dish that has the right to life, but to consider it a major or particularly useful not worth it, because in reality it is not so and there are plenty of food is much more necessary for health.
