At least four people were killed and 25 injured in a stampede before a football match in the capital of Honduras.
The incident occurred on Sunday before the match between the teams of “Motagua and Honduras Progreso” at the stadium in Tegucigalpa. All tickets for the match were sold out, but several hundred fans tried to get to the stadium, which capacity is 30 thousand people.
According to the representative of local hospital Miguel Osorio, four adults died from asphyxiation and multiple fractures. Police fired tear gas and used crowd against the water cannons, he said.
Following this, the crowd began to run away, stamped out to the death of several people.
