Crimeans ‘written off’ debts to Ukrainian banks

The inhabitants of the Crimea can not pay back the debts that do not exceed 2.2 million hryvnias.

According to the Chairman of the Parliament Vladimir Konstantinov, the debts, which as at 18 March 2014 did not exceed 5 million roubles (2 million 200 thousand UAH), will be charged in full.

Also will be written off debts from pensioners, borrowers who have dependents have one or more minor children, single parents, legal guardians of one or more minor children, if they have dependent relatives minor children of combat veterans.

The Kremlin-controlled Parliament of Sevastopol on 17 October adopted in the second reading a law on writing off the debt or partial debt write-off to Ukrainian banks residents.
