Part of apartment houses in Chernihiv merchant disassemble

In the capital there is another scandal associated with the cultural heritage. Recently started to fail a monument on shchekavitskaya street, 19/33, and bricks fell right on the road where trams ply

Experts assure, that at any moment the building could collapse and injure passers-by. Reporters visited the place of the accident. In the middle of the house you can see a huge crack. The building has long been without a roof and part of the wall, so it is not surprising that collapsed its upper part.

The old house is in private ownership

As it turned out, the house is in private ownership, however, a few years ago the owner tried to resell, but to no avail. “The object was already working profile Commission and ordered the owner to immediately have executed the demolition of the house at least an emergency corner. There is no other option as the building emergency and there is a possibility of collapse. And there runs the tram. Now introduced speed limits of the tram, so as not to create additional vibration. Was at the facility and the owner’s representative, who assured that they are willing to do the necessary work. The rest of the week, if the home owner does not begin work, we will forcibly come and carry out these works, and then they will send you a bill,” — said “Today” head of the Department of emergency KSCA Roman Tkachuk.

At KCSA, we were assured that everything is in control. “There are times when the house is dismantled because of its bad condition, and then re-restore. For example, one of the oldest buildings on Nikolsko-Botanicheskaya, which are then restored according to photos and drawings. In this case we also will not allow the house is gone — will the whole process hard to control! And will do everything to oblige the owner to preserve a historic building,” explained the Director of Department of culture of KGGA Diana Popova.

By the way, this is not the first event of the collapse of old buildings. In August of this year collapsed part of the balcony of the building on Malaya Zhitomirskaya, 12, built in 1913, which is included in the complex of the dilapidated estate of artist Alexander Murashko. Concrete debris fell on the pavement, fortunately at that moment there were no passers-by. However, in the emergency, there are dozens of vacant sites for which preservation under litigation.

Story home on shchekavitskaya

Building on shchekavitskaya was built in the XIX century and belonged to Chernigov merchant Vertiporoh, who arranged it in the apartment house.

On the lower level were the grocery stores and in many apartment houses of Kiev. Since 1994 the house was taken on account as novoyavlenny object of cultural heritage.
