As Kiev celebrates Constitution Day: programme of events

The capital will host quests, festivals, and runs an unusual locomotives.

On Wednesday we will celebrate one of the most important gosprazdnikov year — Constitution Day. For residents of the capital have prepared a lot of interesting activities that will help to have an extra day off.

ON THE DULCIMER. In the Park “Feofania” (street of Academician Lebedev, 32) on 28 June from 14:00 to 20:00 there will be KOZAK Fest. “The program is a demonstration of the art of combat hopak and fights on swords, folk performances, playing on authentic musical instruments (sopilka, cymbals, tulumbasy), folk dancing,” say the organizers. For children there will be workshops and organize a scientific show.

In the evening in “Feofaniya” will hold a competition for the best wreath. Entrance to the Park — 20 UAH., pupils and students — 5 UAH, children under 7 and pensioners — free.

ON THE TRAIN. As reported in “Ukrzaliznytsya”, on Wednesday in Kiev will run a festive retro-trains (locomotive traction). In Syrets Park in the Children’s railway from 11:00 to 15:20 you can take a ride on the train with a narrow gauge locomotive of Gr-336. Also on June 28 will be assigned to train with a steam locomotive er 787-46 and comfortable cars. He will travel in 13:49 with the first platform station on the Kiev ring. The walk will last 2 hours and 30 minutes. The tickets sold at ticket offices of the station (about 70 UAH), it gives the right to visit the exhibition of historic rolling stock on track 14 of the station Kiev-Passenger.

CODE HEROES. The national Museum of history of Ukraine (Volodymyrska str., 2) from 12:00 to 15:00 will be an interactive program for children 10-13 years. “Participants will learn what rules and laws were used by our ancestors. I’ll try to gather the “Great Parliament”, as did the Cossacks, will mint ancient coin — srebrenik of Vladimir Svyatoslavich and weaves miniature flag of Ukraine”, — told in the Museum. For students, high school students at 14:00 will hold the quest “Code heroes”: it will appeal to anyone who loves history, parties to solve puzzles and to solve puzzles (details on the Facebook page of the Museum).

Constitution Day to decorate the city. On Prospekt Bazhana employees of KP UZN Darnytskyi district equip a vertical flowerbed with Ukrainian symbols the colors of the hollyhocks and emblem of Ukraine – Trident.
