In the North of Italy, near Turin, is a tiny village Viganella with a population of 200 people. Jokingly called Siberia, because from mid-November to early February here does not look the sun. Steel sheet with a reflective surface installed in 2006. It is equipped with a computer controlled, through which the mirror rotates to follow the sun so that it evenly illuminates the village. Since the “artificial sun” may cover not more than 300 square meters, the computer ensures that all areas of the village were covered with light equally.

The way of life of the inhabitants of Viganella changed. In the winter they are not in a hurry to go home after the service in the Church, spend a lot of time in the main square.
