The Cabinet appealed to the Council of national security and defense and the national Bank with a request to impose sanctions against Sberbank.
At the meeting, the Minister of internal Affairs Arsen Avakov initiated an appeal due to the fact that the Bank began to serve the residents of the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Lugansk regions in the so-called passports of “LNR” and “DNR”.
Prime Minister of Ukraine Vladimir Groisman said that he had discussed this issue with President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and the head of national Bank Valeria Gontareva.
“Today the work is underway, now determine the legal basis, whether there is in fact so. If so, I think that the national Bank and the national security Council will react very quickly, and the President… And the answer will be adequate,” – said the Prime Minister.
