The leader of “DNR” Zakharchenko expressed willingness to consider the introduction of UN peacekeepers to the Donbass. According to Zakharchenko, he is interested in resolving the conflict with Kiev.
“The people of Donbass as no one else is interested in how to begin the process of resolving our conflict in Kiev to stop killing people. And for this purpose we are ready not only to consider any initiative, but to make my own. The proposal of the President of Russia in the UN security Council to consider the introduction of UN peacekeepers in the Donbas should be discussed,” – said Zakharchenko.
Thus, according to Zakharchenko, speaking of peacekeepers in the Donbass “is possible only after the Ukrainian side part of the Minsk agreements, which relates to security.” In particular, the observance of the cease-fire and withdrawal of heavy weapons.
“Only then can we speak of peacekeepers as guards of OSCE observers in detail.
