Ex-Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk appealed to the Polish authorities with a call to influence the forces that incite hatred towards Ukraine.
He wrote about this in his “Facebook”.
– Urge the Polish government to satisfy the Ukrainophobic forces fueling the hatred against Ukraine, our history, and memory. Neither the Polish government nor the Polish society can not silently watch these threatening processes. Together with our Polish partners we need to stop the subversive action of any forces which on both sides of the border to try to oppose our States and peoples in favor of Russia, – wrote Yatsenyuk.
Overall his post was devoted to Day of memory of victims of operation “Wisla”. The former head of the government called the events of 1946 “crime committed by the Soviet and Polish regimes.”
“It was a deliberate ethnic cleansing against Ukrainians. Broke the link between generations, clans and ages. Not only Ukrainians were deported from their homes and lands, and in fact pulled from the graves, because cut the link between the past and the future”, – he wrote.
