Yaroslavl is buying Prominvestbank

The owner of DCH group confirmed the purchase of Russian Prominvestbank.

Ukrainian businessman, owner and President of DCH group Aleksandr Yaroslavskyy on the consideration of the Russian Vnesheconombank (VEB), its application for the purchase of Ukrainian Prominvestbank (PIB, Kyiv) plans to submit an application to the national Bank of Ukraine to begin necessary for the acquisition of PIB negotiation procedure.

This is stated in the press release of the company DCH.

“Yesterday, may 18, 2017 Vnesheconombank’s Supervisory Board considered the proposal A. Yaroslavskyy of acquisition of Prominvestbank, a subsidiary of VEB in Ukraine”, – the press service of DCH.

We will remind that earlier the Russian newspaper Kommersant reported that Yaroslavl was among the bidders for the PIB, VEB made a proposal at the end of last week, and on may 18 on the candidates for the acquisition of PIBA was informed the Supervisory Board, whose meeting was chaired by Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.

“In addition to the known suggestions from a group of investors, developer Pavel Fuchs and people’s Deputy of Ukraine Maxim Mikitas, was named the other candidate – the owner of the DCH group of Ukrainian oligarch Oleksandr Yaroslavsky,” – said the source publication.

Prominvestbank was founded in 1992. VEB is 99.7% of its shares. According to the NBU, in the first quarter of 2017, its assets decreased by 22.9% to 25,61 billion, in results, which he dropped from 11th to 13th place on the market according to this indicator among the 90 banks.

DCH group for 20 years in Ukraine developed different investment projects, including UkrSibbank, which was sold to the international group BNP Paribas, Cherkasy Azot, Kyivstar, preparation of infrastructure of Kharkiv for Euro-2012. Current priorities business groups – Finance, building materials, construction, development, hotel business. The structure of the DCH assets are represented, in particular, International airport Kharkiv Palace hotel Khаrkiv, network, shopping Mall Karavan.

The last major acquisition of the businessman was the Kharkov tractor plant, which after 10 months of inactivity to start operation in early 2017. Currently, the group is also in the process of acquisition of insurance company INGO Ukraine (Kiev): completed all formal procedures for closing the deal to buy a 25% stake, and then DCH intends to increase its stake to 100%.
