Former Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych, now hiding in Russia, commented on the arrest of his colleague, the former Minister of justice Oleksandr Lavrynovych.
His statement was published by the press-Secretary Yuri Cuirassiers in Facebook.
“The arrest of the former Minister of justice Oleksandr Lavrynovych is an agony of political revenge of the current top authorities of Ukraine, which is trying to fabricate criminal cases against its political opponents,” – said Yanukovych.
The former President believes that the Ukrainian government is putting pressure on judges to accept those decisions.
Recall, September 15, the Pechersk district court of Kiev chose a measure of restraint for ex-the Minister of justice of Ukraine Oleksandr Lavrynovych. He was detained for 60 days without the right to bail.
As you know, the Prosecutor General’s office suspects Lavrynovych in the “performance of actions aimed at seizure of state power perpetrated by the conspiracy to commit such actions.
