Wound of Dade: the Prosecutor’s office opened a case on the attack

In fact the injured people’s Deputy of Ukraine of the faction “popular front” Eugene Dade, near the city of Avdeevka of Donetsk region in the area of antiterrorist operations on Friday opened criminal proceedings, pre-qualified as a “terrorist act”, the press Secretary of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Larisa Sargan.

“The Donetsk region Prosecutor’s office performs procedural management in criminal proceedings on the fact of getting injured people’s Deputy of Ukraine Evgeny Deydey… Criminal offence on the fact of injury, pre-qualified under part 2 of article 258 (terrorism) of the criminal code of Ukraine”, – she wrote on his Facebook page.

As reported, MP of the faction “popular front” Evgeny Deydey was wounded near the town of Avdeevka of Donetsk region in the area of antiterrorist operations on Friday.

Press Secretary of the Prosecutor General Larisa Sargan said that E. Dade has not received a severe shrapnel wound.

In turn, the press service of the regiment of special police “Kyiv” reported that E. Dade received a shrapnel wound from a shell of calibre of 82 in the leg. At the moment he is in hospital.

On 11 July, the Parliament refused to abolish the immunity of E. Dade on representation of the Prosecutor General. The MP is charged with part 3 of article 368-2 of the Criminal code of Ukraine (“Illicit enrichment”), to it threatens imprisonment for the term from five till ten years with confiscation of property. The attorney General intends to make a new submission to the Parliament.
