Workers of the mine “Steppe” arranged a strike

Men need to immediately assure them of safety

The miners of the second shift of the site of conveyor transport of the mine “Steppe” refused to go down into the mine and require guarantees of safety. About this on his page in Facebook said the head of “Confederation of free trade unions of Ukraine” Mikhail Volynets.

In addition, according to Volynets, after the statement about stopping the shipment of coal by the local organization of the npgu, and possible strikes by miners, March 8, in the city there will arrive the head of the regional state administration Oleg sinyutka.

According to npgu, miners coal company still has not paid the salary for January and February.
“After the accident the situation in the mining collectives have become even more difficult. We are required to take all measures for the immediate release of the bills of GP “lvovugol”, debt repayment, and to provide appropriate financial assistance to the company for liquidation of consequences of accident on “the Steppe”, – reads the statement of “Independent trade Union of miners of Ukraine”.
Also the miners appeal to the government not to proceed with the investigation of the tragic accident at the mine, to create conditions for the restoration work and to prevent the destruction of the mine.

Recall that the second of March at the mine №10 “the Steppe”, JSC “lvovugol” there was an explosion and the collapse of the breed. At this moment underground there were 172 miners, of which 34 worked in the emergency section, on the horizon 550 m. the Victims of the explosion were eight miners, the youngest of the victims was 19 years old, the oldest – 42. According to preliminary data, the cause of the explosion on mine “Stepova” in the Lviv region was the outbreak of the air-methane mixture.
