Have you ever wanted to feel not the hero of the average horror? For example, to get to the abandoned hospital and wander through its dark corridors, listening to every sound. And not sitting in front of a computer monitor, which overlooks the pub across the road, and with a maximum effect of presence. Progress does not stand still, and now virtual reality glasses are ready to move the player anywhere. Of course, until they are so massively distributed, and the pleasure is not cheap, but interesting horror projects appear on the VR market.
“Wilson’s heart” (Wilson’s Heart) – developed by Twisted Pixel Games. The story is a VR horror game, the passage of which will take approximately eight hours, which is much longer than is usually the case in such projects. Release for Oculus Rift is scheduled for April 25, 2017. The game will cost about forty dollars. We got some details, screenshots and a few videos.
So, it is not just the atmospheric Walker and a full storyline adventure with detective intrigue. The action takes place in the 1940s. Under the control of the player misses Robert Wilson, a mysterious patient of the hospital. He wakes up and discovers that his heart is replaced by a strange device. But that’s not the only oddity. The hospital looks quite ominously, inside you can find not only other patients but also the unfriendly types of gas masks, Teddy bear-killer and even a giant octopus. Inhabiting this place of creatures have one thing in common: they all want to kill you. The player will go through a nightmare to find out who and why stole the heart of Wilson.
The developers have positioned the game as “addictive psychological Thriller from the first person”. The black and white picture only emphasizes the gloomy atmosphere, and interactivity and the abundance of puzzles will not get bored anyone. It is necessary to tell about the cast, because you got good company. Robert Wilson was voiced by Peter Weller (“Robocop”, “Screamers”, “Leviathan”). Perhaps, any fan of horror will be pleased to hear the familiar voice in the walls bloody hospital. Also in the caste announced Alfred Molina (“Identification”, “the Da Vinci Code”) and Rosario Dawson (“sin City”, “Trance”).
