Gambling zone in the city of Yalta on the southern coast of Crimea will be called “Gold coast”. By order of the Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev will build on the area of 146 thousand square meters .
The Agency RIA “Novosti” recalls that in 2009 gambling in Russia is prohibited, except in specially designated areas. One of them is located near Vladivostok, the other – in the Altai, near Kaliningrad, the third and the fourth on the shore of the Azov sea. All these places were distant from gamblers from Moscow, who began to travel to neighboring Belarus, enriching this country.
Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law creating gambling zones in the Crimea. In this regard, in December of last year deputies of the Yalta city Council made the decision to transfer from municipal to state ownership of land in the village Katsiveli to the South-West of Yalta.
The head of the Crimea Sergey Aksenov, in turn, said that the operator of the future gambling zone in the Republic will become a major investor, whose name has not been disclosed.
