1987 in the USSR. That year was like a bright flash. The country broke the wind of change. People were intoxicated by the fresh air of freedom. From what is happening and even more forebodings heart. It was just beginning.
In may ‘ 87 German Amateur pilot Mathias rust, aged 18 years, made the historic flight on a light aircraft from Hamburg via Reykjavik and Helsinki to Moscow. May 28 (the day of the border troops of the USSR), he landed at the walls of the Kremlin on Vasilevsky Descent, freely flying over thousands of kilometers.
It has become one of the most significant events of the first missed shot. According to Marshal of the Soviet Union D. T. Yazov, the defense forces were engaged in a “Cessna” to Moscow, and did not stop flying, because “after the incident with the South Korean airliner was ordered civilian aircraft to shoot down”.
From now on, no decisive action could be taken by the leadership of the country without regard to the opinion of the West. And now the whole world saw that “the Soviet Union is not the same”. For the violation of Soviet air space “a messenger of good will” rust, of course, tried, but very gently, with a discount for “new thinking”.

Friendship with the West at any cost has become one of the main strategic objectives of the Soviet leadership. The fastest was impossible to establish a “humanitarian bridge”: teleconferences, exchanges of “goodwill ambassadors”. In the West, Gorbachev’s “perestroika” was also in Vogue in the Soviet Union pulled all sorts of visitors, including professional experts on “establishment of friendship”.

August 14, 1987, during a tour of the theater in Riga, the play “Crazy day or the Marriage of Figaro” do not play the game the last scene, lost consciousness on stage the iconic Soviet actor Andrei Mironov.
