What was the Artek 80-ies of the last century. Photo

The dream of all Soviet schoolchildren.

Artek pioneer summer camp, where you wanted to get absolutely every Soviet schoolchild. And if you look at all the attractive features of the place, it is easy to understand why.

The main plus — the convenient location: on southern coast of Crimea, one of the warmest places on the Black sea in the USSR. Children, for most of the year saw the snow, the long winter evenings wanted to get to Paradise where it’s always warm and Sunny.

Got to summer camp is basically the best of the best — the best students, athletes and disciplined guys.

Every summer from ten of thousands of Soviet schoolchildren, only a few thousand were sent to Artek.
