This year Ukraine received lethal weapons from the United States.
Five countries in Eastern Europe and the United States has put Ukraine on certain types of lethal weapons. In an interview, said the Director of the state enterprise “Spetstechnoexport” Paul Barbul.
“In particular, is the VOG-17 and VOG-25 ammo for the grenade launchers, some artillery supplies – 100 mm and 152 mm – this is something urgent. I won’t name the country, the number or price, but we deliver it” – said Barbul, noting that we are talking about shipments at least 5 European countries.
He also confirmed that this year Ukraine received lethal weapons from the USA – party launchers PSRL-1, which are deep modernization of the Soviet RPG-7.
In an interview with “Voice of America” Richard VanDiver, CEO of AirTronic USA, which produces grenade launchers, said that PSRL-1 is superior to the Soviet counterpart to the technical parameters. In particular, the effective range of fire had increased from 300 to 800 meters.
“There is a Picatinny strap that allows you to set different types of sights. We changed the design of the trigger device to be more convenient to use. The optical system we have created: it is much easier than the RPG-7, and works with all types of ammunition,” – said VanDiver.
