The Secretary of state during a conversation with the Ukrainian President called to fulfill unrealised demands of the IMF.
The U.S. state Department said on a telephone conversation with Secretary Mike Pompeo and the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.
“The Secretary welcomed the recent adoption of laws on combating corruption and the law on national security, but also urged Ukraine to carry out the unfulfilled requirements of the IMF,” − said in a statement.
In addition, during the conversation, Pompeo expressed support for the territorial integrity of Ukraine and confirmed that Washington will never recognize the Crimea to Russia.
Informed about the conversation, the Ukrainian leader with U.S. Secretary of state announced in the administration Poroshenko.
Earlier, the IMF approved the updated plan of Kiev on creation of the anti-corruption court, however, this problem is not enough to unlock the next tranche of Ukraine.
