The Goloseevsky district court of Kiev has seized the real estate of the shopping center Caravan at street meadow, 12, which belongs to PJSC Lex holding company, the ultimate beneficiary of which is businessman Oleksandr Yaroslavsky.

According to the report, the arrest was effected in the framework of criminal proceedings on application of losses of VTB Bank. Pre-trial investigation was opened on 10 February this year.
According to the investigation, in March 2013 VTB Bank and PJSC Lex holding signed a loan agreement on credit facility on 75,81 million dollars. The repayment period of the loan expired on 15 August 2016.
The consequence considers that Lex is holding is not going to repay the loan and only to create the appearance made several payments on account of repayment amounting to 1,913 million. the last payment was made on 24 February 2016
Police said that, not wanting to return the VTB Bank a loan, Lex holding has formed a fictitious debt to the legal services Center of aegis (Kharkov) in the amount of 600 thousand hryvnia. In this regard, on 7 September 2016 the economic Court of Kyiv at the suit of the same center legal services aegis opened bankruptcy proceedings Lex holding.
Police said that the decision to start bankruptcy proceedings was made in order to be able to remove the encumbrance on the mortgage property for the purpose of its alienation to third parties without repayment of the debt to the Bank.
