Warsaw in creative images by German photographer. Photo

This is a portrait of a modern metropolis.

Warsaw is famous for its diverse architecture, reflecting the rich centuries-old history of the city. That’s why the German photographer Max Leitner (Leitner Max) chose this city to shoot amazing architectural structures in an unusual perspective.

Wide-angle NIKKOR lens allowed max to capture the unique architectural appearance of the city, and participation in shooting urban FreeRunner benny Grams (Benni Grams) helped to distort the perspective and create optical illusions to make the viewer to wonder what is really going on in the frame.

The aim of the project was to create a portrait of a modern metropolis, and therefore was chosen as appropriate from legendary interiors of the Museum of history of Polish Jews Polin and the Katyn Museum to the outside of shooting the crowded city buildings, bridges and the recently expanded metro.

Talking about the work on the project, photographer Max Leitner said: “We are surrounded by interesting lines, and in photos I always was drawn to the opportunity to explore this environment.

Using lines of modern architecture, guiding the viewer, and sometimes inserting it in error, I can transform ordinary picture and create a new visual image.

Creating abstract compositions and manipulating these lines, it is possible to shake the perception of space.

We came to Warsaw to try to push the boundaries of perception and, of course, to pay tribute to the magnificent modern architecture of this city”.

While shooting this image series Max used a new flagship digital SLR camera FX-format from Nikon — D850.

Max Leitner was born in Stuttgart, Germany, and at an early age became interested in photography.

Over the last ten years he traveled extensively in the USA, Asia and Europe. Max lived in Chicago while studying at the art Institute of Chicago.

Among his main interests included the study of the urban environment, architecture and active lifestyle.

In may 2016 Max is back from Chicago and moved on to personal projects and work with clients in different countries of Europe, Asia and the Middle East.

He is constantly in search of unusual places and visual images in pursuit of its continuing goal is to photograph remote places and to reveal their hidden architectural features.
