He noted that amendments to the law “On physical culture and sports” (No. 6120) need to be considered this plenary week.
“Our athletes defend the honor of the country in international competitions, win awards at the Championships. However, gaps in the legislation lead to serious problems in the training of our athletes using sporting weapons”, – said the MP.
According to Ward, the prompt adoption of this law, allowing for the preparation of our athletes for the Winter Olympic games in 2018.
The bill proposes to Supplement the law “On physical culture and sports” the new term “sporting weapon”. It is also proposed to determine that the acquisition, storage, transportation and use of sporting arms, ammunition, the maintenance of shooting galleries, shooting ranges and stands are carried out in accordance with the legislation of the constituent entities of the sphere of physical culture and sports, to develop sports, recognized in Ukraine, the competition rules which provide for the use by athletes of firearms (except military) or pneumatic, small, emasculated and bladed weapons.
