Walker discussed Klimkin Donbass after talks with Surkov

The US special envoy discussed with the head of the Ukrainian foreign Ministry further steps to resolve the conflict in the Donbass.

The special representative of the US State Department in Ukraine Kurt Volker and head of the Ukrainian foreign Ministry Pavlo Klimkin discussed the further steps on settlement of the conflict in the Donbas. About this, Walker said in his Twitter on Wednesday, November 15.

“I talked to Pavel Klimkin after yesterday’s meeting in Belgrade with Russian presidential aide Vladislav Surkov. We discussed next steps and the importance of maintaining close coordination,” wrote Walker.

Previously Klimkin reported that over the last few days 5 or 6 times and spoke with Walker and they agree on the question of the situation in the Donbass.

“5th or 6th conversation with Kurt over the last few days. Grateful to the special representative for his commitment to our common goal. We see that Russia is not interested in achieving peace, but wants to keep its colony in the Donbas, leave everything as it is and even worsen the situation. It will not work!” – wrote the head of the Ukrainian foreign Ministry in its Twitter.

Recall that in the meeting with Surkov, Walker was transferred to the Russian diplomat addition to the proposed Russian version of the resolution on placement of the UN mission in the Donbas.
