Waitomo, caves, amazing magical glow. Photo

Joseph Michael.

Deep underground in the new Zealand North island, in the universe of winding limestone caves, twinkle magical blue-green light. Here the darkness is dissipated through the glowing colonies of the larvae of the Arachnocampa luminosa.

The photographer Joseph Michael (Joseph Michael) spent countless hours in a cold underground world of caves, Waitomo to capture the glowing dungeon, which experts estimate has about 30 million years.
