Completed the 20th stage of the 72nd version of the Spanish race.
Alberto Contador in brilliant style have won their last mountain stage in the career of the legendary Spaniard attacked on the final climb of the highest category, Angliru and managed to resist the onslaught of Christopher froome and his domestique Vouta of Pools.
That failed Contador, is to cling to a podium place in General classification. “El Pistolero” only 20 seconds behind the Russian Ilnur Sacarino.
Froome won the Vuelta, ahead of Vincenzo nibali 2 minutes and 15 seconds. The Briton managed to make a double victory – the Tour de France+Vuelta.

Tomorrow Vuelta-2017 final flat stage with finish in Madrid. The struggle in the General standings is now complete, and point in the three-week race will be staged in the battle of the sprinters in the final shot.
