The main competitors of the second-generation XC60 will be the new Audi Q5 and BMW X3.
Volvo has published the first images of the crossover XC60 new generation. The official premiere of the car will take place at the Geneva motor show on 7 March 2017. Judging by the pictures, the car will get a massive grille and led optics in the style of “hammer of Thor”. The latter will be quite different from its predecessor. Most likely, the car will become a little more first-generation XC60.
The main competitors of the second-generation XC60 will be the new Audi Q5 and BMW X3. The car will be built on a modular platform SPA, which uses the XC90. The new crossover will be the sixth model, the Swedish brand for this architecture.
According to Autocar, the engine range the crossover will include a 2.0-liter petrol engine with four cylinders. Also the car will get a diesel unit of the same volume. Other technical specs are still kept secret. It is not excluded that the car will get a hybrid version. Furthermore, it is expected and the emergence of the “charged” version of the novelty, which is a division of Polestar.
In Europe, sales of cars are expected a month after the premiere.
