At the beginning of 2017 Volkswagen showed a concept electric minibus I. D. Buzz, whose appearance is reminiscent of the classic VW T1 van. On 19 August, the automaker announced a production run of the car.
I. D. Buzz will be bigger T1, since the electric motor will free up space in the cabin. Additionally, van will receive semi-Autonomous driving mode on roads with “predictable” move, the driver of the bus will be able to go on autopilot, watching the movements of the Buzz and ready to take control.
I. D. Buzz will be available on a universal platform, along with other carts line I. D.: hatchback, crossover, sports cars and others. The company expects that a single platform will reduce the cost of production of cars. In 2022 Buzz will enter the markets of China, Europe and the United States.

The e-bus will receive two electric motors on 369 horsepower, all-wheel drive and a battery with a capacity of 111 kilowatt-hours. The car can accelerate to 100 km/h in 5 seconds. The reserve I. D. Buzz more than 430 km. in addition to the passenger version, Volkswagen will launch a cargo van called I. D. Buzz Cargo.
