Volkswagen has revealed a new concept version of the electric crossover I. D. Crozz.
The first version of the prototype shown in April at the Shanghai motor show and the Frankfurt producer will bring the car with a slightly different design, is similar to the serial option.
What else will change in concept besides the design, the company has not yet spoken.
Shanghai prototype was equipped with an electric propulsion system comprising two engines with a total capacity of 302 horsepower and a set of lithium batteries with a capacity of 81 kilowatts-hour.
One “filling” the crossover is enough for 500 kilometers. Limited top speed of 180 kilometers per hour.
Crossover is the third concept built on a platform prepared specifically for electric vehicles. Prior to that, Volkswagen has built on this chassis hatchback I. D. and I. D. van Buzz.
All three cars will appear in the series: in 2019 it will be a hatchback, then there will be a crossover, a minivan will debut after 2022. Also expected to appear in the line electric sports car.
The concern looking forward to the year 2025 to sell a million electric cars annually.
