At the motor show will debut a new version of the conceptual crossover I. D. Crozz, serial version of which will appear after 2020.
Volkswagen has released the first design sketch updated version of a prototype of an electric crossover I. D. Crozz. Public premiere of the electric car will take place in the middle at the Frankfurt motor show.
From the previous version presented in April at the Shanghai motor show, the new I. D. Crozz can be distinguished with a bright-colored body and a modified head optics with led elements. In addition, the designers have made some changes to the front bumper.
About the technical component of the prototype are not reported. The Shanghai concept car was equipped with two electric units on the front and rear axles, which together give out 305 horsepower.
Crossover is capable of accelerating from standstill to 100 km/h in six seconds, and its maximum speed was 180 km per hour. According to representatives of the German company, “the prototype has the same handling as the Golf GTI”. A set of lithium-ion batteries with a capacity of 83 kWh allows a range of 500 kilometers.
The first production model from Volkswagen electric family I. D. will appear by 2020. The range of electric cars will include a hatchback, a minivan, a crossover and probably a sports coupe, which will revive the name Scirocco.
