Volkswagen has revealed a new compact crossover

The official premiere of the car will take place this summer.

The company Volkswagen has prepared a “spy” video of the new crossover. Mark showed in the video is camouflaged production version of the T-Roc concept presented in 2014. Compact novelty will compete for buyers, for example, with the Nissan Juke, Renault Captur or the Jeep Renegade.

Judging by the roller, the production car will inherit from concept, the harbinger of some stylistic decisions in the front. In particular, the shape of the headlights and grille. The design of the back will probably be similar to the current “Tiguana”.

The dimensions of the concept T-Roc was as follows: 4179 mm in length, 1831 mm wide and 1501 mm in height. The wheelbase was 2595 millimeters.

The basis for the new items served as the A0 version of the modular platform MQB, which was used for a new Seat Ibiza (and upcoming new VW Polo). In the engine range the crossover is expected to include a petrol turbo engine with three and four-cylinder (from 1.0 to 1.5 liters) as well as 1,6 – and 2,0-liter diesel engines.

Probably in the “simple” versions of the model will be offered with a manual transmission and front-wheel drive. Four-wheel drive and “robot” will appear in the more expensive versions.

The premiere date of the serial T-Roc Volkswagen has not yet announced. According to unofficial sources, the compact crossover will debut next month.
