German company Volkswagen has banned its dealers to sell in the annexed Crimea trucks and specialized commercial vehicles with a capacity of 10 or more passengers. As reported by Vedomosti, a letter from “Volskwagen Grup Rus”, signed by the Director General Marcus Ozegovic got dealers working with Volkswagen.
According to Ozegovich, a violation of the sanctions regime can lead to serious economic consequences, including the waiver of import on territory of Russia of such trucks and machinery.
Close to Volkswagen the interlocutor of the edition noted that there is nothing new in this letter is not, and that since the introduction against Russia of sanctions of special purpose cars and trucks Volkswagen, Audi and Skoda to the Peninsula is not supplied. At the same time, two dealers said that such a letter was received for the first time.
Volkswagen itself does not produce in Russia a special equipment, mainly passenger cars, the publication said analyst Mikhail Ganelin. According to him, in the Crimea, this technique is not available.
