“Dear viewers! I consider it necessary to warn You that I may be brought to trial and sentenced to date. This for me is as unexpected as it is to You, so let me explain”, — began his speech Vladimir Pozner in the next edition of the author’s program “Posner” on channel one.
Broadcast of may 15, the journalist commented on the sentencing of the blogger Ruslan Sokolovsky. Recall that last year Ruslan was catching pokémon in the Temple-on-Blood in Ekaterinburg. The young man was arrested, and on may 11 this year, the court of Yekaterinburg found him guilty of insulting the feelings of believers, was sentenced to 3.5 years probation.

Vladimir Pozner was an atheist. In the program “Posner” he expressed surprise about the law, which condemned the blogger: “I, as you know, the atheist. Therefore, I believe that there is no God. It’s not that I run around and shout “no, no” from morning till evening, but do not hide their beliefs. I would like to get an exhaustive explanation: confessing this look, I’m violating the criminal code? Maybe the Patriarch will tell you, if I insult his religious feelings, arguing that there is no God? Maybe the President of the constitutional court will tell me if I have the right to think what I think and Express what I Express?” — says the journalist.
Vladimir also asked the question, will his sentence because he doesn’t believe in God: “Maybe the President will bring clarity, not expecting me in court and, God willing, excuse the pun, a lenient sentence?”
