Virtual helmets Sony will “walk” on Chernobyl

The project will introduce users to places of abandoned Chernobyl.

Sony announced the upcoming release of Chernobyl VR Project – interactive tour of the Chernobyl – for a virtual reality PlayStation VR. The project will enable users to visit places, abandoned Chernobyl, and to visit in the vicinity of Chernobyl.

The message about the new project was published in the official PlayStation blog.

“Our project combines interactive experiences, accessible only through the gaming media with educational elements to create this unique tour that allows you to understand the tragedy of the stories of the people who lived there before and after the tragedy”, – stated in the message.

The project, implemented in cooperation with the Polish Studio “The Farm 51”, which filmed the video and 360 degree photography, and also made a 3D scan.
