Many tourists to Barcelona each year suffer from carteristas – pickpockets and thieves, hunted in the city centre.
In order not to lose your documents, money and valuables while walking around Barcelona (or any major tourist city in the world) travelers should follow a few simple rules.
First of all, the passport visitors should leave the hotel, as well as most of the money – it is better to use the hotel safe. Also, do not wear for a walk expensive watch and jewelry (professional thief can take them from tourists), clothing luxury brands, which attracts the attention of criminals.
According to police, in Barcelona, thousands of pickpockets. Most often, they are operating on the Ramblas, the Sagrada Familia, the Park güell and near other attractions.
