The U.S. overseas private investment Corporation (OPIC), which invests in American businesses in 140 countries, plans to invest in wind power project in the Zaporozhye region of $400 million.

She has already agreed issues all debt and equity investment for construction in the area of the first phase of WPP with total capacity of 500 MW. At the meeting with the Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Hroisman, the head of OPIC ray Washburn also said that the Agency is interested in financing the development of small and medium businesses, cooperation with the holding company “Energoatom” and modernization of the rolling stock of Ukrzaliznytsia.
“Projects that support small and medium businesses has already begun. Other initiatives are in the stage of final negotiations,” said Washburn. He added that funding projects “Energoatom” will be at least $250 million.
