Updated Tamagotchi is back on the Japanese market

Local manufacturer has reissued the iconic toy and started to sell again.

In Japan revived popular 20 years toy called the Tamagotchi. Local manufacturer Bandai re-released it, and returned to the market.

The cost of the updated Tamagotchi is 13.55 USD. You can buy it exclusively in Japanese stores.

The device is virtually indistinguishable from the original, except the size – it is twice more compact. Available to the user in six different Tamagotchi characters.

Tamagotchi – an electronic toy that allows the user to raise a virtual pet. The first Tamagotchi was launched in 1996 in Japan and 1997 in the USA and Europe.

Around the world in the first years, it sold about 40 million copies of the toy.
