Unusual for Europeans: what are the schools in Japan. Photo

One of the important duties of the children is attending school.

While many children complain that they have to get up early and do my homework, education is an important stage in the life of every person.

However, how the training can vary in different countries.

In Japan, for example, there is a certain set of rules that is different from what we are accustomed to. Here, a few of these things you may not know.

1. Punctuality is the most important rule in any school.

However, it is particularly important in a Japanese school. Students must be in school at exactly 8:30. If they are late to school more than 5 times, they are punished even more by harvesting early in the school during the week.

2. The school has no cleaners.

Students in Japan are responsible for the cleanliness of classrooms, toilets and corridors. Their responsibilities include sweeping and mopping floors, and maintaining cleanliness of the school Board.

3. Students eat in the classroom.

Instead of having to go to the cafe, the students arrange the lunch in the class with their napkins and utensils. Lunch then distributes either the chef or the students themselves. It is unacceptable to throw away food, so you need to eat whatever is on the plate.

4. The swimming lessons very seriously.

Swimming is part of the curriculum. Many schools in Japan have a private pool, where children are taught to swim at the minimum distance. Students who are unable to learn, have to fill the gap in the summer.

5. Students are not allowed to radically change their appearance.

This applies not to all schools in Japan, but to many. This means that students are not allowed to wear makeup, colored contact lenses, hair dye, nails, and even put in order eyebrows.

6. Earlier, Japan had only one day off.

In 1992, the government amended, increasing the weekend to 2 days. In some schools do not adhere to this rule and teach lessons on Saturday.

7. Students are not allowed to meet and have a relationship.

It is prohibited in all secondary schools. A rule was introduced that students are not distracted from studying.

8. Summer vacation lasts only 5-6 weeks.

Holidays begin July 20 and end in late August. In addition, most of the free time students engage in homework, participation in school clubs or doing other activities.

9. Respectful older siblings are always welcome.

To greet teachers, pupils always do bow before and after class.

10. There are some strict rules concerning the haircuts of the students.

Girls are not permitted to dye your hair, wear coloured hair bands or bangs below the eyebrows. Boys are not allowed to wear long hair, and allowed neat short haircut.

Students can use the phone in the Parking lot in front of the school between lessons or after them.

12. You cannot make changes in a school uniform.

Students are not allowed to modify in any way the school uniform. They can decorate their shape with some accessories. Form need to wear and maintain its appearance as prescribed, even outside of the school building.

13. The school rarely replacement.

If the teacher for some reason did not come, the students themselves are studying and are quiet. From time to time, another teacher can stop by and check out the class.

14. Students are not allowed to wear colored outerwear on top of school.

Their jackets and sweaters must be dark blue, black or gray. Also students are not permitted to wear jewelry.

15. For all students under the age of 18 has a curfew – 22:00.

Rules may vary in different cities. However, in Tokyo and Yokohama curfew – 22:00. Children under the age of 18 not to visit the cinema and slot machines after 22 hours.
