The money will be used for the construction of the second track and electrification of the line Dolinskaya – Nikolayev – Kolosovka on the South of Ukraine.
The European Bank for reconstruction and development (EBRD) provides Ukrzaliznytsia under the state guarantee loan in the amount of 150 million euros. About it reports a press-service of the Ministry of Infrastructure.
According to the Agency, today signed a guarantee agreement on the allocation of EBRD funds for the construction of the second track, electrification and modernization of signaling systems and communication in the direction Dolynska – Mykolaiv – Kolosivka.
This project will enhance the capacity of the railway direction Dolynska – Mykolaiv – Kolosivka, which lies on the territory of Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv and Odessa regions.
“It will allow to solve problems with goods pass in the direction of the Nikolaev ports; to raise the service speed of freight trains by 20-25% and, consequently, to reduce time of cargo delivery, and significantly reduce operating costs associated with the improvement of the organization of movement of trains”, – stated in the message.
The total cost of the project amounts to roughly EUR 300 million. The second part will provide the European investment Bank (EIB).
