Ukrzaliznytsia launched the upgraded flights trains

For 8 months 8 refurbished electric trains.

“Ukrzaliznytsia” has launched flights to two modernised electric trains – No. 668 route Fastov – Serpent fastow and No. 7246 – in the direction Lviv – Truskavets – Lviv.

“Modernization works were performed at JSC “Kyiv electric railway car repair plant”, which in a short time managed to bring trains into operation, – said a member of the Board of “ME” Sergei Mikhalchuk.

The updated trains have changed not only the interior but also held a number of technical improvements. In particular, in trains replaced some parts, installed modern lighting equipment with head coaches, e-route numbers on the front parts of the front carriages and other electrical equipment.

“In the modernized trains set new sealed the window with sun roller shutter curtains. The seat is also brand new and therefore more comfortable. Renovated ventilation system of passenger train cars and cabs drivers. In the course of repair, all heating elements and ventilation units replaced. Due to this, travel by train will be more comfortable and pleasant”, – said Mikhalchuk.

All, according to him, during 8 months of 2017 were renovated 8 trains (40 sections). Until the end of the year it is planned to upgrade another 8 trains.

In “UZ” notes that modernization allows the railroad to significantly save funds industry. Thus, the performance of major repairs of one section of electric trains consisting of two carriages is approximately 8.7 million, while the cost of a new electric at the current rate of exchange is 440-450 million.
