Ukrtelecom allowed to raise rates with the New year

In the village rates rise the most.

The national Commission, carrying out state regulation in the sphere of communications and Informatization on Tuesday, November 28, has allowed Ukrtelecom to raise tariffs for fixed telephony on 1 January 2018. This is stated in the message of the NCSRCI.

According to the document, population in the city rates may increase by 7.1%, and in rural areas – 16%, for budgetary institutions in the city – 9% in rural areas – 27%.

“These changes are justified by the economic situation, and will enable the operator to bring the cost of the services to the level of cost,” – commented the decision the head of corporate communications at Ukrtelecom Mikhail Shuranov.

He recalled that the last time an increase in marginal rates on average 5-11% was implemented from 1 January 2017 based on the cost of services of the 4th quarter of 2015.

In addition, the number of fixed subscribers of “Ukrtelecom” in the city in 2016 fell 11% and the village 20%, and in the first half of 2017 respectively 11% and 7%.
