In the Internet appeared the photo of the Ukrainian submarine “Zaporizhya”, which was captured in 2014 by Russian occupants in the annexed Crimea.

Chmut also said that thus, the Navy lost its full potential.
Comments note that as of 2013, the submarine was maintained in good condition. On the other hand, they write that this submarine is obsolete in the 90-ies and was a “suitcase without a handle”, which would “even 20 years repaired”. As an alternative, they offered to buy several submarines from NATO countries.
