The health Ministry recalled that after medical reforms every Ukrainian has the right to choose their doctor.

The health Ministry said that now medical assistance is not tied to the place of residence, residence, or size of bribes. Every Ukrainian can choose a General practitioner, a pediatrician or family doctor in any medical institution, and the money for health services to pay the state.
While assigned campaign (the process of choosing a doctor and conclusion of contracts) is in pilot mode. And the start date of the all-Ukrainian campaign will be determined after the relevant law will be signed by the President.
First of all, the Ministry recommended to choose a good doctor. If a doctor you have not yet found, you can ask relatives, neighbors, friends, colleagues, and also contact the local health Department.
It will tell what doctors work in the relevant locality or area. Another option is just to apply to any medical facility and meet the doctors. Information about them can be obtained from the local health Department or directly at the reception. Some medical institutions already have their own websites with such information.
The Ministry of health remind that now it is not necessary to go to the doctor “strictly on the record”. Then the primary care facilities, staffed by family physicians, sign a contract with the National health service, patients – Declaration of physicians who have chosen for themselves. The Declaration is signed in perpetuity.
The documentation required for signing of the agreement with the doctor – the passport and identification number. For a Declaration with the pediatrician (or family doctor who will serve the child) will need the birth certificate of the child and documents (passport and ID) both his parents or guardians. The basic way of filling of the Declaration — electronic: the doctor will make the data in the system. Single doctor may serve a maximum of 2 thousands of patients.
A number of patients recommends the Ministry of health. There may be exceptions, for example, when a doctor works in the village, where more than 2 thousand people. Now to the doctor, you can contact with any questions related to health.
In addition to direct examination and treatment, primary care physicians, if necessary, will also give referrals to specialists, to prescribe medications, including which fall under the program “Affordable medicine” (free medicines at the pharmacy, paid for by the state), and any medical certificate. The Ministry of health appeal in any case not to give bribes to doctors, because the payment for the work of physicians covered by the state.
