Ukrainians reminded about the basic schemes Internet scams

Fraudsters have intensified on the Network.

In the Dnieper Department of police receives hundreds of applications a day from lost their money residents of Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhia and Kropiwnicki areas. And cybercop already made a few basic scenarios, which the scammers fill their wallets with the help of computer and mobile phone.

One of the popular scams — “seasonal offer”. Another common story — a call from the Bank, the operator is requested to inform the Bank card details to avoid being blocked. And in a minute the cards go all the savings. “In fact, the Bank does not need to collect personal information — it has all the information about the clients,” say ciberpolitica and urged never to disclose codes of payment cards.

The attackers in every possible way to confuse the footprints using proxies and VPN, which complicates the process of finding them. In social networks, cyber criminals make trusting relationships with people, getting information to compromising. Couple intimate photo or video that is sent to the swindler, can be an occasion for blackmail. At the same time for the reward the scammer promises to send pictures to relatives or acquaintances of the victim.

Another way to steal money from naive citizens to send email to “e-mail” or esemes on the phone with the text about the fabulous prize. Curiosity makes you open the email, and a computer, however, gets a virus that the scammers promise to neutralize for the money. But the call “winner with the organizers of the lottery” may lead to loss of money in the account.

FOR FRAUD TO A FINE SHINE AND GRILLE

As explained by the lawyer Andrey Ishkhanyan, according to article 200 of the criminal code of Ukraine any illegal activity using the documents, payment cards, electronic money or Bank accounts are punished with a fine from 51 to 83 UAH. If the same actions are committed repeatedly or on preliminary arrangement by group of persons, there is already shining imprisonment for the term from 5 till 10 years with confiscation of property. According to article 182 of the criminal code of Ukraine for the blackmail will have to pay UAH 830, two years to work on community service or to spend three years behind bars.
