Ukrainians continue to sell more currency than buy

Since the beginning of the year, the Ukrainians sold the banks to 1,802 billion more foreign currency than bought.

In July 2017, the population has sold foreign currency in cash of $327.3 million more than they bought.

This is evidenced by data of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU).

According to the data, in July, banks sold cash currency to the population for $502,8 million and bought for $of 830.1 million

Recall that in June 2017 the population has sold foreign currency in cash of $338,6 million more than they bought.

Thus, in January-July, Ukrainian banks sold $1.8 billion more cash than they bought.

In 2016, the net sales of foreign currency by the population through banks amounted to $2.5 billion, which is 1.6 times higher than in 2015.
