Journalists have found out how dangerous it is.
Abroad, products that have expired, sold in special stores with markdowns. In Ukraine, such goods are sold illegally and secretly. Julia Dobroskok found several pavilions and carried purchased on examination. The result is shocking.
In American discount stores all products are sold at half price because of overdue. But buyers there are always a lot. “For me personally, in big supermarkets too expensive. I won’t buy a bag of chips for $ 4. I can get them for 25 cents,” says the pensioner Mar.
In Germany, too, working the store of expired products. And want to buy them – more than enough. The innkeeper’s wife says that all food is safe, just lost marketability.
But in the Ukrainian shops of expired goods is often near fresh. And most importantly – sold for the same price.
According to the expert Alex Doroshenko, learn from foreign experience in the trade delay is unprofitable. “Even poor people come to the store and buy the most popular products. It’s milk, bread, vegetables. And they are the most perishable,” says Doroshenko.
When the products in supermarkets is impossible to pass off as fresh, they fall into the illegal sale. Natural markets of delay.
Regulars such points say that the choice here is “in the shop”, but the price is several times lower. “Look, that is cheaper, and buy. No choice, as if such pensions in our state”, – told the seniors.
Journalists “Today” decided to check out such cheap products in the laboratory.
“In the first sample – processed cheese – we found mold in excess of three times. Found her a lot and in a chocolate cupcake. Got corrupted and snack. Staphylococcus and clostridia we have not found, but it cannot guarantee that there are no bacteria Escherichia coli group”, – says the head of the bacteriological laboratory Alla Lazareva.
So of the four products tested, three turned out to be dangerous. So use them only at your own risk.
