Ukrainian tanker seized off the coast of Libya

The Libyan military captured two ships, among them the Ukrainian tanker.

The naval forces of Libya seized two vessels suspected of smuggling export of oil from the country, one of them is a tanker “Ruth” under the flag of Ukraine.

This was announced by the representative of the Libyan Navy Ayub Qassem.

“The clashes lasted three hours, but two of the tanker was successfully captured”, he said.

According to the Agency, the incident occurred near Sidi saiyed West of the Libyan capital Tripoli.
