In Germany you can get free the profession of a musician. Foreigners together with local students are given scholarships. This was told by Ukrainian Eugene Ermakova, who is studying at the Folkwang University in Essen.

“I moved to Germany for training in October 2013. The decision was not spontaneous or accidental. Since 2004 he studied at the Kiev average special boarding school named by Lysenko. Many graduates after graduation go abroad. Some, like me, still finishing NMAU Tchaikovsky. The first course was thinking where to go, because in Ukraine there are no good tools, music. There is the opportunity to visit concerts of world stars. are here to arrive. The choice was among the German-speaking countries – here the culture is sponsored by most,” – says Eugene Ermakova.

For submission to a German University you have to pay €50. The language can be taught during the year.

“I was looking for teachers who wanted to learn. Went to listen to meet you. Then I passed the entrance exam. They require only a notarized copy of diploma with translation (in my case, bachelor’s degree), a completed application form and biography. Entrance is usually only for artistic professions. For tool specialty at the time of the introductory language is not mandatory. After joining you need to pass the B1 level. Undergraduate studies should have higher level. In some high schools give a year of free courses in the language.”

Training for foreigners in Germany is free. Pay only social contribution every six months. It includes travel for the semester. Costs about €300 and is valid on all regional transport modes.

“The scholarship is there, but limited. Need to apply in the beginning of the semester with a good motivation letter and recommendation of the teacher in the specialty. I got in the first semester, a scholarship for foreigners (300 euros per month) and for the gifted, 1000 euros at a time DAAD (program scholarship in Germany Gazeta.ua),” – said Eugene Ermakova.

Students who work part time, unable fully to support themselves. This files most often have private students working in schools introductory music or play in orchestras on a regular basis.

“First find a job difficult. It takes a lot of time. If you are a bachelor, you need to attend a lot of lectures. To teach, you need a very good German. Also there is a caveat with the student visa – it spelled out the number of hours we can work. I fully earn my living. In a month I spend 800 euros. Live in a very cheap hostel for 185 euros per month. The apartment is 300 euros. Also have to pay for compulsory health insurance. It’s 90 euros per month. After 30 years and 14 semester tuition need to pay around 140 euros. For students, there are many discounts in concert halls, cinema”.
