Ukrainian sailors, who spent more than 9 months in a Moscow prison last week has returned home after an exchange of prisoners between Russia and Ukraine, raised money to support the convict in Moscow Russian activist Konstantin Kotova. About it reports in Facebook Nikolai Polozov, one of the lawyers of sailors.
Cats was one of the people who helped sailors in jail. He also came to them in the courts, stood in pickets in support of political prisoners of Ukrainians and Crimean Tatars, – Polozov wrote. In addition, Konstantin Kotov participated in the pickets with the requirement of exchange between Russia and Ukraine on the formula “all for all”.
In August – after the Moscow mass protests, the Cats had been arrested and sentenced to four years in prison on charges of repeated violations at rallies.
Ukrainian sailors “in appreciation and gratitude for his support in a time when they were in prison,” Polozov writes, and gathered support of more than 25 thousand roubles and more than 12 thousand UAH (about 32 thousand rubles).
24 Ukrainian servicemen were captured by Russian border guards in the Black sea in November 2018. They were accused of illegal crossing of the Russian border and sent to jail.
