Parliament postponed the introduction of the road Euro 6 in 2020.
The peoples deputies adopted the bill on gradual introduction in Ukraine of international ecological requirements to vehicles “Euro-5 and Euro-6”.
The decision was supported by 247 people’s deputies.
“The main purpose of the bill is to increase the level of environmental friendliness the vehicle Park of Ukraine through the promotion of market development of the vehicles of the environmental standard Euro-5 “, – stated in the explanatory note to the document.
Euro-5 — environmental standard regulating contents of harmful substances in exhaust gases. The standard is mandatory for all new vehicles sold in EU from October 2008. For passenger vehicles from 1 September 2009. Emissions standards: SN to 0.05 g/km CO 0.8 g/km, and NOy to 0.06 g/km.
“The project is proposed to postpone the introduction of standard environmental safety of Euro 6 from 1 January 2018 and 1 January 2020. The adoption of this bill will also allow our citizens to buy cheaper cars 2010 with the payment of reduced excise tax for 2018,” – said the head of the Committee on taxation and customs policy Nina Southerner.
Euro 6 environmental standard regulating contents of harmful substances in exhaust gases. According to the norms of the new standard of carbon dioxide emissions of new cars should be less than 130 grams per kilometer.
